Terms of Use
These terms apply when you use Podium, provided by Elizabeth Osunsanwo, trading as Kagex ("we", "us"). By creating an account you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use Podium.
1. The service
Podium lets you record or upload audio, which is transcribed and summarised by AI. Features may change as we improve the app.
2. Your account
- You must be at least 13 years old.
- You sign in with Google or Apple. Keep that account secure, because you are responsible for activity on your Podium account.
- One free trial per person. Creating extra accounts to get more free minutes is not allowed.
3. Recording other people
4. Your content
Your recordings, transcripts, summaries and notes belong to you. You give us permission to process them only as needed to run Podium, as described in our Privacy Policy. Audio is deleted once transcribed.
Don't use Podium to process content that is illegal, or that infringes someone else's rights (for example copyright or privacy).
5. AI accuracy
Transcripts and summaries are generated automatically and may contain mistakes or miss things, especially with distant, noisy or accented speech. Check anything important against the original source. Podium is not a substitute for professional, legal, medical or financial advice.
6. Minutes, plans and payment
- Free trial: 30 minutes, once per account, with no expiry.
- Subscription: £2.99 per month (including any VAT) for up to 6 hours (360 minutes) of transcription per billing month. Unused minutes don't roll over.
- Uploaded recordings use minutes the same way as recordings made in the app.
- Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel at any time in Google Play (or the store you subscribed through), and you keep access until the end of the period you've paid for.
- We'll tell you in advance about any price change, and you can cancel before it applies.
Refunds for purchases through Google Play follow Google Play's refund policy. Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights as a UK consumer.
7. Fair use
Don't try to break, overload, reverse-engineer or get around the limits of the service, or access other people's data. We may suspend accounts that do.
8. Availability and changes
We work to keep Podium running but can't promise it will always be available or error-free, especially during testing. We may update these terms. If changes are significant, we'll tell you in advance.
9. Ending your account
You can delete your account at any time in the app (Account → Delete account) or via our deletion page. We may close accounts that seriously or repeatedly break these terms.
10. Our liability
We are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of us breaking these terms or failing to use reasonable care and skill. We are not responsible for losses that aren't foreseeable, or for business losses. Nothing here limits liability that can't legally be limited, such as for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud.
11. Law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you live elsewhere in the UK, you may also bring proceedings in your local courts.
